LART Hybrid Manicure step by step:

  • Before you start, remember to disinfect your hands – wash your palms, disinfect them, and if you’re doing a manicure on a client, remember about gloves. Safety comes first.
  • Push the cuticles aside and, using the V&K Cosmetic buffer block, gently smoothen the nail plate.
  • Clean the nail plate from dust and wipe it with LART Cleaner
  • Apply LART No Acid Primer. Remember about applying it with a thin layer only on the natural plate and not on the cuticles. Wait for it to evaporate. In case of Infinity Base and Infinity Easy Off Base, you can use the Primer.
  • Apply a thin layer of Infinity Base to secure and to even the natural nail plate, and to enhance the durability of the hybrid manicure. Remember about securing of the free margin of the nail.
  • Use a UV lamp for 30 seconds.
  • Apply two very thin layers of the desired LART color. Each of the layers must be hardened under a UV lamp for 30 seconds. In case of the more difficult colors, such as pastel or neon, it might be necessary to add an extra, also very thin, third layer. It will also require using the UV light for 30 seconds.
  • Apply a thin layer of Infinity Top to give the nails a beautiful lasting shine and a natural look. Remember about securing of the free margin of the nail. Harden the layer under a UV lamp for 30 seconds.

Removing of LART manicure

LART recommends several possibilities of hybrid manicure removal. Experienced nail stylists can use a miller, but since hybrid manicure is a very light and comparatively soft technique, a 240/180 grit nail file will also do the job. Use it to gently pile off the polish. The quickest way to remove hybrid manicure is using a special solution that dissolves the applied material. Before doing that, however, you must first take off the polished layer with a nail file. Only then can you dip the fingernail in the hybrid manicure removal solution.

USAGE

Is it true, that hybrid manicure is bad for health?

Properly applied LART hybrid manicure is perfectly safe, even for pregnant women. However, one should not forget that it should also be applied the right way, so as not to worsen the condition of the nail. First of all, it is best to buy high-quality products from proved distributors. Do not buy products without test results, or with unknown composition. If you are not an expert on hybrid manicure, consider signing up for a special training, or visit a professional cosmetic salon. Read the instructions on the packaging carefully and check if the product contains any substances that you might be allergic to. Obviously, Lart hybrid manicure can be done at home, but remember that it is always easier to have someone qualified do it for you. It is less common for a professional to file through the nail, or to apply the formula to the cuticles. A nail that was filed too strongly will take longer to regenerate, and applying formula to the cuticles may result in air-locking and, in turn, bacteria growth. Remember not to change the stylization too often – changing the color every few days can be bad for your fingernails. Acetone, which is used for material removal, applied frequently may dehydrate the nails, leaving them weak and easy to break.

Can LART hybrid manicure be done at home?

LART products were designed in such a way, so that anyone could benefit from the effortless usage and apply them both at a salon and at home. LART is the perfect tool for all those wanting to be true masters of manicure. With the support from the professionals and LART instructors, your stylizations will resemble real works of art. If you wish to become a manicure artist, consider signing up to a professional LART training, which will help you to broaden your knowledge, teach you how to work with nail plate properly, how to add and remove products. While choosing a training make note if it covers such issues as nail diseases, disinfection of tools and accessories. This is the basic knowledge for every person who wants to do manicure.

Are LART products tested on animals?

No, Lart products are not tested on animals. They contain no animal ingredients, nor genetically modified organisms.

Can LART products be used with other brands?

Yes, LART products are compatible with hybrid manicure products from other brands, however, we recommend to use the products from a particular line together. Only this way you will achieve the result that we guarantee in 100%.

LART Gel Polish Color ripples under the UV light. What is the reason for this?

There are several reason why Lart hybrid nail polish may ripple or peel off easily:

  • Product was hardened improperly (UV light power not strong enough, or hardening time too short)
  • Too much nail polish on the nail
  • Easy peeling off of the product might be caused by insufficient protection of the nail margin
  • If a nail was not prepared properly, was not cleaned from the oily film, or was not smoothed, then the lifting of the hybrid manicure from the nail plate may occur
  • Client must hold her hand steadily under the lamp. The thumb must also be placed inside the lamp.

LART STANDS FOR TRUE MASTER OF MANICURE

How many layers of Gel Polish Color must I apply for the best result?

LART Gel Polish Color hybrid polishes have very good pigmentation, even after one application. However, for the fingernail to look perfect, it is best to apply two or three thin layers, depending on the color saturation. LART also offers transparent polishes for the clients who cannot wear intensive colors. In order to intensify the saturation of the pastel and neon colors, it might be good to first apply a layer of white base. This way the colors will be even more vibrant.

Are there any contraindications to applying Lart hybrid manicure?

In every nail stylization method the main contraindication for doing manicure is the presence of any kind of yeast infection of the skin and nail, bacteria, viruses, warts, and candidiasis.
Manicure should not be performed when there is visible purulent inflammation, infection, allergies. One should be particularly careful around clients with diabetes, as their blood coequality is very low and their wounds heal much slower. Hybrid manicure is also advised against for clients with weak, damaged nail plate.

LART hybrid manicure peels off easily. What might be the reason?

  • There might be several reasons:
  • Fingernails were not properly prepared and cleaned
  • The free margin of the nail was not secured
  • Nail diseases
  • Uneven nail plate

My nails become dull after applying Infinity Top. What might be the reason?

There might be several reasons:

  • Top layer was too thick
  • Cleaner was applied too fast after taking the hands out from the UV lamp. After using the UV lamp product needs some time to cool off; only then nails can be wiped with the Cleaner
  • UV lamp power was not strong enough
  • Nail hardening time was not long enough

How long does it take to do a hybrid manicure using Lart products?

It depends on the stylist and his/her skill, but usually the process should not take longer than 1,5 h.

Are Lart hybrid manicure products safe for pregnant women?

Lart products are perfectly safe for women who are pregnant and who breastfeed. The only setback might be reduced durability of the stylization, caused by the hormonal balance typical to this time period. During pregnancy women are much more susceptible to allergies; that is why in their case hybrid manicure should be done only with high-quality products. Stylist should also use acid-free primers instead of the traditional ones. One should also make sure whether or not they need to remove the hybrid manicure before going into labor. Some hospitals require removing only one piece of manicure, as one finger is enough to attach a pulse oximeter, used to monitor patient’s vitals. Stylized fingernails may affect the results.

LART IS A WORLD OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS

Are there any contraindications to doing hybrid manicure using Lart products after oncological treatment?

There are no contraindications to using Lart manicure products after oncological treatment. While doing the manicure, however, stylist needs to be very careful not to damage the skin of the client – in such cases cuts take longer to heal.

It is also perfect for damaged, uneven, weak, and stained fingernails. Thanks to its unique texture, the application of Infinity Base is very precise, and due to its incomparable durability it allows for easy nail extension using nail stencils; even very short or bitten ones; while keeping the color from chipping off and air-locking. Together with Infinity Top, the base creates a complete solution that will satisfy all those looking for long-lasting stylization.

Parts of the nail:

GENERATIVE PART produces the nail plate; it includes the matrix and the nail bed

NAIL MATRIX lies 3-6mm underneath the nearest nail wall. It is responsible for the forming and growth of the nail plate.

LUNULA is the only living part of the nail; visible through the nail plate in the shape of a white-colored half-moon. Growth of the nail is possible thanks to the cell division of the nail matrix (keratinocytes).

NAIL BED is situated underneath the nail plate. It nourishes the nail, but does not affect its growth.

NAIL PLATE is built from the horny keratinocytes, which are packed tightly in a form of tiles, with 100-150 layers. Water loss in the nail plate is hundred times higher than in the surrounding skin.

FREE MARGIN is the part of the nail that outshoots the fingertip.

NAIL WALL is the part of the skin that surrounds the side and the upper part of the fingernail. It creates a thick roll and protects the nail plate.

PARONYCHIUM , or the so-called cuticle, is a very thin layer of tissue that overgrows the nail. It serves as protection against contamination and bacteria. It is very important to be careful while working with the paronychium, as intensive pushing or cutting of the cuticles may result in nail plate damage. This part of the nail should be nourished with vitamin olive.

What do fingernails consist of?

  • Tough protein, also known as alpha-keratin
  • Lipids, including cholesterol and fatty acids
  • Water (about 10%)
  • Minerals and elements
  • A net of blood and lymphatic vessels
  • Calcium

All of these ingredient are responsible for the vascularity and blood supply of the fingernail, but they also keep our finger fit and moving.

What kind of lamp should be used with Lart products?

With Lart products both a UV or LED lamp can be used.
LED lamp parameters: min. 48W, UV lamp parameters: min. 36W with four fluorescent 9W bulbs
A good choice would be a CCFL+LED lamp with 48W (a combination of an LED and UV light).
It provides two different kinds of light which results in higher power and shorter work time.

What do I need to do a perfect Lart hybrid manicure?

For a basic LART hybrid manicure you will need:

  • LED lamp: min. 48W or a UV lamp: min. 36W with four fluorescent 9W bulbs
  • Skin-disinfecting formula
  • 240/180 grit nail file – to give the nails a desired shape
  • Buffer block – to gently smoothen the nail plate

LART FOR WOMEN FULL OF PASSION

How long before the LART manicure comes off?

This is a very individual matter and it depends on many factors, i.e. condition of the natural nail plate, hormonal balance, as well as proper application of the product. One of the most important rules, however, is to wear hybrid manicure on fingernails no longer than 14 days and no longer than 20 days on toenails, even if the stylization still looks good. Extended wearing of hybrid manicure, despite the producer, might result in drying of the nail or in calcium deficiency.

Is it true that because of extended wearing of hybrid manicure fingernails do not breathe?

Fingernail is not a living tissue, so it does not breathe. Since it is constructed from horny keratin, just like our hair, cutting off nails or hair does not hurt. Fingernail is nourished through blood vessels which provide oxygen nutrients to the nail matrix and the surrounding tissue.

Which colors from LART Gel Polish Color are best for French manicure?

For French manicure we suggest using color no. 003 – French kiss from the Lart Palette Collection.

What are transparent colors?

There often comes a question – Why do producers create colors that are transparent? In spite of appearances, transparent colors or such colors that are not very vivid are necessary in certain stylizations. Not every woman likes highly saturated, dark colors, which might result from both personal preference and type of profession. Transparent colors are also great for wedding stylizations – they are a perfect match for the white dress and they bring in a sense of natural beauty.

What natural ingredients do LART products contain?

Some of the LART products contain natural ingredients, such as silica (hypoallergenic, does not cause irritation) and mica, both of which are commonly used in the production of natural cosmetics.
